Dispute Litigation

The Jorgensen Law Firm, LLC, represents clients in a variety of construction disputes, including those involving:

  • Breach of contract
  • Payment and collection issues
  • Nondisclosure issues
  • Construction liens
  • Construction defects
  • Property damage
  • Construction contract issues

Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) – Alternative Dispute Resolution

We understand clients’ concerns regarding litigation, which can prove to be a costly, time-consuming and complicated method of settling a dispute. This is precisely why we recommend alternative dispute resolution (ADR) whenever possible. We strive to help clients understand and appreciate the real-time financial impact that the alternative dispute resolution process can have on their business.

One form of ADR that is widely used in construction disputes is the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) process. A DRB panel consists of three professionals with extensive knowledge or experience in the area of construction law. The panel conducts a thorough hearing, where each side may present evidence and explain their position. The DRB will carefully consider each party’s claim before issuing a written, nonbinding recommendation.

If ADR or the DRB process proves unsuccessful in resolving a construction dispute, our law firm is fully prepared to pursue a claim in state or federal court. In these situations, our attorneys work closely with clients to craft and develop a litigation strategy that is both cost-effective and practical.
