Jeanette serves as a paralegal for individual and business clients, providing legal assistance in connection with a wide range of transactional matters. She is familiar with residential & commercial real estate transactions, business law and commercial finance. She has a wealth of knowledge about mortgages, title insurance, commercial financing debt instruments, business formations, contracts and related transactional issues. Jeanette is a Notary Public in the State of Connecticut.
Jeanette also administers the firm’s client trust (IOLTA) accounts and supports the firm’s partners with general accounting issues. Jeanette brings 20 years of experience in law, accounting and insurance to the firm and is a valuable contributor across all aspects of the firms operations.
Shayna J. Rivera, Paralegal

Shayna is primarily responsible for supporting the firm’s commercial real estate and business practices. Her experience and knowledge about commercial financing and commercial real estate matters improves efficiency, response times and overall client satisfaction. Mrs. Rivera possesses a strong working knowledge of all facets commercial transactions including contracts, loan documentation, title issues and related litigation.
Mrs. Rivera also supports the firm’s litigation practice; her responsibilities include file management, preparing and responding to discovery requests, legal research, coordinating fact-finding investigations, trial preparation and assisting with the drafting of motions and related legal memoranda. She is a Notary Public in the State of Connecticut.
Jennie Short, Legal Secretary

Jennie serves as the firm’s legal secretary and is primarily responsible for handling day-to-day administrative functions. Her responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s master calendar, routing telephone calls, updating and indexing case files, assisting attorneys and paralegals with document duplication and electronic retention, drafting correspondence letters, issuing subpoenas, maintaining financial records and preparing monthly invoices.
